Laura L.C. Johnson, MBA, MA, LMFT, LPCC, is the Director and Founder of the Cognitive Behavior Therapy Center of Silicon Valley in Saratoga, CA. Laura specializes in evidence-based therapy for anxiety, OCD and anxiety-related disorders in adults, children and teenagers.
Laura has a passion for integrating cognitive behavior therapy with positive psychology to help her clients build positive emotions, optimism and resilience while decreasing unhelpful thoughts, emotions and behaviors. She is a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and completed the year-long CBT Extramural Program at the Beck Institute as well as the OCD Foundation's general and pediatric Behavior Therapy Training Institutes.
Laura is dual-licensed as both a Professional Clinical Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. She has a counseling psychology master's degree from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Columbia University. Prior to becoming a therapist, Laura worked for many years in the corporate world. As a result, she is skilled at helping professionals and executives manage anxiety and stress at home and at work.
When she's not helping her clients, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, walking, jogging, yoga, skilling, reading and camping.
