Vickie Linegar — Contributor

Vickie Linegar began sharing the ups and downs of being a survivor two years ago over the holiday season when it finally occurred to her that the same anxiety was returning year after year. As more people reached out to her through the blog, she shared more details of her past including childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, an abusive ex-husband and her ongoing battle with OCD, emetophobia and anxiety.

After working in radio, television and print media, she devotes her time to blogging and raising her son and rewriting a manuscript she's been working on for the past number of years. You can see video of a speaking engagement and television appearance on her Youtube channel which is how she often explains how to pronounce her last name ‘like vinegar with an L.'

Vickie is also heavily involved in the Amy St. Laurent Foundation which was started to honor a young woman from Maine who was murdered in 2001. The foundation provides funding for the (R.A.D) self-defense program for women in and around Portland, Maine.

Vickie has a degree in Marketing and is working toward a degree in Behavioral Health. She can be reached at [email protected]. You can follow her on Facebook by liking the fan page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/What-you-see-in-here-stays-in-here/191831684188765?ref=ts
