Being dually licensed as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) psychotherapist I can offer both psychotropic medication management and psychotherapy.
Some of the issues that I work with include: ADHD/ADD, anxiety issues (social phobia, obsessive-compulsive issues, panic, phobias, etc.), bipolar and other mood disorders, depression, co-dependency, low self esteem, grief, loss, PTSD and other unresolved traumas, stress management, life transitions, life coaching, mindfulness, and spirituality. I enjoy working with clients who are having difficulties with communication and relationship issues.
Like snowflakes, no two individuals are alike. I remember that when approaching my work with clients. Using mindfulness and gratitude, I seek out client strengths to collaboratively build a return to optimal healing and functionability. I understand that sometimes, the most difficult thing to do is to make that initial contact with a mental health care provider.
