Dr Yatan Pal Singh Balhara is a qualified psychiatrist working in the area of substance use disorders for the past 10 years. He completed his post graduation (MD) in Psychiatry and then went on to complete his master's degree in Addiction Studies offered by King’s College London, UK; University of Adelaide, Australia; and Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. He has published widely on issues related to substance use disorders and mental health. He serves on the editorial board of academic journals and is engaged in research on substance use disorders. He has presented his work at different international forums, including scientific conferences and meetings. He is also engaged in capacity building and serves as a resource person for training programs on management of substance use disorders. He has also been involved in the development of online resources on management of substance use disorders.
