Michele Happe, MA, Certified Health Coach — Contributor
I am a certified health coach specializing in recovery coaching, mindfulness coaching, and health coaching. I work with all attachments including substance, codependency, and food. I use Buddhist principles to aid with recovery and to help promote happiness. I have a private practice in Reno NV and work internationally on skype (mhappenow), phone(775 230-1507), facetime and in person. My website is http://mhappe.com.
I received my Masters Degree in Psychology in 1973 have taught college courses and have worked in Addiction recovery centers. I directed one of the first eating disorder units in the country.
Life can be difficult and often finding solutions to our issues can be baffling and difficult. I help guide people through their issues using Buddhist principles such as mindfulness and very basic strategies to reduce suffering. I work with family members as well as the sufferer.
My health coaching practice focuses on developing Optimal Health through weight loss, exercise, sound spiritual life, and financial health. I am maintaining a 30 lb weight loss and I bring my Buddhist principles into that realm as well.
I appear regularly on the radio here in Reno on a variety of topics ranging from spiritual health to current events. I started painting in oil a few years ago and post my paintings on my webpage as well as Instagram. Painting is my therapy.
