Carrie Steckl, Ph.D. — Contributor
Carrie Steckl earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a Minor in Gerontology from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2001.
She has spent over 10 years working for agencies in the health, human service, and senior sectors, including Caregivers Home Health in Illinois; the Center for Gerontology at Ball State University; Williamsburg Manor and the Life Management Institute in Indiana; the Jefferson Center for Mental Health in Colorado; the Indiana State Women's Prison; the Indianapolis Veterans Center; the Buffalo VA Medical Center in New York; and the Alzheimer's Association's chapter and national offices in Utah and Chicago, respectively.
Currently, Carrie is a part-time faculty member at Columbia College of Missouri and writes about faith, wellness, and caregiving. In addition, Carrie has published over one dozen journal articles and book chapters on subjects related to gerontology, multicultural issues, and psychology.
